Abstract

In lattice QCD, the standard nonperturbative tool for quantum chromodynamics, the numerical sign problem may appear when computing the expectation of observables. The complex Langevin method (CLM) is applied to mitigating the problem. Based on the gauge theory, gauge cooling technique is an effective way to stabilize CLM by solving a minimization problem. In the one-dimensional periodic model, the exact solution can be found. And the alternating descent method is proposed for general case, which shows better performance than current method.
