Abstract
A numerical scheme on the basis of the determinstic particle method has been proposed to simulate the micro-macro model for the dilute polymeric fluids. For the macroscopic level, the finite element discretization in space is utilized. For the microscopic level, the discrete energetic variational approach and the "Approximation-then-Variation" technique are applied. Various numerical experiments have been performed to validate the new scheme via comparison with the former works.
