Abstract
In this talk, we briefly review some recent development in superconvergence of three types of DG methods for time-dependent partial differential equations, including the standard discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method, the local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) method and the direct discontinuous Galerkin (DDG) method.
A survey of our own works on superconvergence results for various time-dependent partial differential equations is presented, and superconvergence phenomena of aforementioned three types of DG solutions at some special points (including the function value and derivative value approximation), as well as the cell average error and supercloseness results, are all discussed.
About Dr. Cao
曹外香,副教授,2014年于中山大学数计学院获得博士学位,2014年至2016在北京计算科学研究中心从事博士后研究, 2016-2017年中山大学特聘研究员。研究方向为偏微分方程数值解法和数值分析,主要研究有限元方法、有限体积方法,DG方法等的高效高精度数值计算。 曾获得中国博士后基金一等资助和特别资助,主持国家自然科学青年基金和面上项目。
