2020 Advanced Science and Technology Forum on Interdisciplinary Studies (ASTFIS) was held on 13 -15 November at Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai). Prof. Tao Tang, Director of the Research Center for Mathematics (RCM), Prof. Huaxiong Huang, Executive Director of the RCM, and other Center members attended ASTFIS opening ceremony on 14 November.

Prof. Huaxiong Huang was invited to deliver a speech "AI for Design with Subtitle: Model Reduction and Neural Network for Solving Partial Differential Equations” in the morning of 14 November.

In the afternoon,the RCM co-organized the sub-forum at B202 Lijiao Building with other two Mathematic centers: Research Center for Mathematics and Mathematics Education,and Research Center for Applied mathematics and Interdisciplinary Science. Members of RCM, Prof. Qiang Zhang, and Dr. Yuliang Wang gave lectures in the sub-forum. Dr.Yuzhe Qin and Dr.Jing Ma also participated postdoctoral Academic Poster Exhibition of ASTFIS and obtained the honors.
