Research Center for Mathematics is jointly established by Beijing Normal University (BNU) and Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU). Professor Tao TANG (Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries) was the founding Director of the Center. Professor Huaxiong HUANG (former BNBU Vice President (Academic)) was the founding Executive Director.  Dr. Xiaofeng CAI serves as the Associate Director of the Center. 

Mission

The mission of the Center is to promote research and innovation in mathematical sciences (including statistical, computational and data sciences) and collaboration between mathematical scientists and researchers in other disciplines including physical, biological, and social sciences and industry. RCM is devoted to conducting frontier research in mathematical sciences, educating and nurturing young talents, promoting international academic exchanges, and advancing mathematical research and teaching in China.

Activities

The Center organizes a wide range of activities including workshops, conferences, winter schools, regularly scheduled seminars series, special lecture series, courses, and outreach events. The principal purpose of these activities is to bring together researchers with common interests for collaborations and provide advanced training for students in BNU and BNBU.

  数学研究中心由北京师范大学和北师香港浸会大学（简称北师港浸大）于2019年携手建立，旨在推动数学科学（包括统计、计算和数据科学）的研究和创新，及促进数学学者与其他领域研究人员的合作：如物理、生物科学、医学、经济学、金融和工业等。

　　中心定期及不定期地组织举办研讨会、国际会议、专题讨论会系列、特别讲座系列、课程、冬季学校和外展活动等各项活动，广泛联系具有共同研究兴趣的专家学者们，积极推动国内及国际研究合作，并为北京师范大学和北师港浸大的学生提供专业的培训。
