Abstract
Current AI originated from mimicking the way our brain processes information such as layered structures, convolutions, sigmoidal activation functions etc. However, it deviates significantly from brain dynamics as well: the information carriers in our brain are spikes (0 or 1) and our brain employs many advanced cognitive functions including attention, memory, emotion etc. to process information. In the talk, we will first review some of our current advances in exploring brain functions, in particular, in emotion processing. We then summarize our recent efforts on constructing digital brains both at resting states and interacting with environments.
About Prof. Feng
冯建峰,长江学者特聘教授,现任上海数学中心首席教授、复旦大学类脑人工智能科学与技术研究院院长、复旦大学大数据学院院长、上海脑科学与类脑研究中心副主任。英国皇家学会沃夫森研究功勋奖获得者。
冯教授长期致力于数学、脑科学和计算机科学的交叉融合研究,推动计算脑科学及其应用领域的发展。在计算神经科学方向,研究了单脉冲神经元非线性行为,构建了神经元网络建模数学方法,发展了随机相互作用粒子系统的大偏差数学理论;在脑图谱研究方向,发展了大规模脑数据全脑尺度分析方法,揭示了智商的脑动态网络机制,阐明了奖惩、记忆、情感等认知功能及其异常的脑连接网络机制;在类脑智能算法构建方向,基于脑功能模块连接、高低频信息处理机制等原理设计了新型神经网络结构,在步态识别、语义物体分割等方向取得国际领先成果。研究成果发表在 Nature Human Behavior, Science Advances, JAMA Psychiatry 和IEEE 系列及 Brain, PNAS, PRL 等杂志上。
